FIRE crews from three stations were called to reports of a road traffic collision on the A3072 near Holsworthy.
It was reported that a vehicle had overturned on the road during the day of Saturday, October 19, with fire crews assisting police with making the scene and vehicle safe before returning.
The car had reportedly collided with a tractor prior to overturning.
Crews from Holsworthy and Bude stations were called to attend the incident, with a further requested appliance to attend alongside, comprising of a heavy rescue tender from Bodmin.
However, after assisting the vehicle to be upturned, the other oncoming appliances were stood down en route due to no longer being needed.
A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: “Appliances from Holsworthy, Bude and the heavy rescue tender from Bodmin were mobilised to an road traffic collision between a car and a tractor on the A3072 near Holsworthy.
“On arrival our crew assisted one casualty from a vehicle on its side. All other oncoming appliances were stood down while on route. Crews assisted police with making the scene and vehicle safe before returning back to station.”
