FORMER Liberal Democrat MP Lembit Opik officially opened the new premises of Holsworthy-based Wheels 2 Work last Saturday. The social enterprise, which provides scooter and motorcycle loans to anyone over the age of 16 to enable them to get to employment, education or training, moved to the former ATS building on Dobles Lane Industrial Estate in Holsworthy, after outgrowing its former base at Halwill Junction. Mr Opik, who is the director of communications and public affairs of MAG UK, the Motorcycle Action Group, said he had diverted to Holsworthy from London en route for Leeds because he wanted to support an initiative which had the power to change people's lives and which was so socially and economically important to the town and county. For the full report, and a round-up of the local news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.
