FRESH from his hugely successful European tour with Seasick Steve, and following the release of his critically acclaimed new album Good Ground, James Dixon is ready to hit the road again, this time playing selected dates supporting Cornish rock band Wille And The Bandits, writes Simon Gale.

The 18-date tour started in Shrewsbury on Thursday and together the guys will play venues and arenas in cities around the UK, including Manchester, Nottingham, Guildford, Oxford, Derby, Sheffield, Cambridge and Putney, before Wille And The Bandits end the tour at the Ropetackle in Shoreham on May 28.

“I can’t wait to get back out on the road with Wille…” James says excitedly. “I’ve been a big fan of the band for years and I can’t wait to go out and play the pied piper for them. I love playing live, it’s freeing and so intimate!”

Often compared with acts such as Zeppelin and Floyd, Wille And The Bandits move instinctively between riff-laden rock tracks and emotive, acoustic soundscapes, whilst their rhythmic groove and impassioned vocals seamlessly evoke comparisons with acts such as the John Butler Trio, creating a genre-blurring experience that leaves audiences spellbound.
