A DRUG driver has been arrested in Wadebridge after their car was found to be held together by gaffer tape.

A Volkswagen Golf was spotted by officers as it covered in tape.

Following inspections, it was found by officers that the driver had been using drugs, was disqualified, uninsured and that the car did not have a recent MOT.

After the incident, a Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: ''Golf caught our attention for no particular reason … Driver found to be disqualified, positive roadside test for cocaine, uninsured and the vehicle expired MOT and VEL - other than that…..!

“Seized and driver arrested.''
