LAST week he was elected as a cabinet member on Devon County Council, this week he lost his position as Leader of Torridge District Council — mixed emotions for Barry Parsons.

The last two weeks have included a mixture of good and bad news for Barry Parsons.

Last Friday, the Devon County Councillor for Holsworthy Rural was welcomed as a cabinet member, when the new team was announced.

Devon County Council's Cabinet consists of nine members — Party leader John Hart, deputy John Clatworthy, Will Mumford, Andrew Leadbetter, Andrea Davis, Stuart Barker, Stuart Hughes and Roger Croad.
