A CAMPSITE in Cornwall has gone viral on social media for its sustainable approach to holidaying.

Tik Tok viewers have been going wild at the idea of a Cornish ‘Tipi Holiday’ with a video of the local site going viral.

A video of ‘Cornish Tipi Holidays’ based in St Kew has racked up more than 586,000 views and received nearly 40,000 likes.

Set in a peaceful woodland valley surrounding a spring-fed lake created from the old Tregildrans Quarry, the site attracts many campers looking for a spot of wild swimming to cool off in the summer sun. Guests can also enjoy boating and fishing on the lake too.

The licensed Tipi Kitchen offers guests freshly made seasonal food in a laid back setting with everything from breakfast and brunch to homemade cake and pop up nights. Veggie/vegan options are always available too, often using herbs grown onsite in their recipes.

The site has a strong eco ethos too, with owner Emma commenting “Our aim is to offer our guests a really sustainable holiday. A return to real camping means the lowest possible impact on the land and environment, our tipi poles don't even break the surface of the earth. Your footprint while here could only be bettered by a survival expert. We source all our wood, fish and canvas locally and work with locals wherever possible.”

Now, with its online fame, visitors from across the country are hoping to enjoy a Cornish countryside break.
