The South West Summer Funding Round 2024 has been launched, marking the fourth year of grant distribution in Cornwall by not-for-profit venture The Fore.

Up to three local organisations will be offered an unrestricted grant of £30,000, plus free access to a pro bono network of more than 2,000 professionals, skills training, peer to peer networks and impact measurement support.

The programme is open to charities, Community Interest Companies (CICs), Charitable Incorporated Organisations (CIOs) and Community Benefit Societies (CBSs) across any sector, as long as they are based in Cornwall and have an annual turnover of under £500,000.

The Fore founder Mary Rose Gunn said: “Our South West hub, in partnership with Cornwall-based philanthropists, is eager to once again welcome new local applications. The process is inclusive and really simple.”

Over the past three years, The Fore has awarded more than £250,000 to eight local organisations, such as mentor organisation Citizenship 4 Life, outdoor education specialists Curious School of the Wild, Inspiring Women Network and Refuge4Pets in Liskeard, which helps families to escape domestic abuse with their animals.

Register interest in applying for the 2024 funding round between noon tomorrow and noon next Thursday at thefore.org/apply-for-funding

Grant decisions will be announced in July.
