AIMING to improve accessibility for all, a new accessible changing room and toilet will soon open at Camel Creek Family Adventure Park in Wadebridge.
The new Changing Places toilet is being expertly installed, by Closomat, one of Britain’s leading disabled toileting solutions company, and will be ready for customers to use when the park officially reopens later in March.
Exceeding British standards, the new facility will include a wash and dry toilet, for those who may lack the ability to wipe themselves, a height-adjustable wash basin, ceiling-tracking hoist, adult-sized, height-adjustable changing bench, peninsular WC with space for carers either side with a privacy screen and large sanitary disposal.
Graham Hayes, general manager of Camel Creek said: “Camel Creek’s aim is to improve park accessibility by providing appropriate and comfortable facilities for everyone. Installing the Changing Places toilet is a key element of the park upgrade we’ve invested in this winter.”
The adventure park offers family rides, animal encounters with meerkats, reptiles horses and birds, indoor play areas, slide rides, the pony express, wave rides and lots more. Brand new attractions for this year include Merlin’s Magical Playground, the Hidden Garden Cafe and sink putts at Shipwreck Shores Adventure Golf.
