THE Animal Free Research UK Bude group have been busy this month with two fundraisers.

The first was a table top sale at Bude Methodist Hall which raised nearly £600 and the second was a stall at Bude Animal Friends Awareness Day.

This event is organised by core members of the Animal Free Research UK Bude group. Bude-Stratton Town Council granted permission for dogs to be allowed on the Triangle as a trial during this year's event and this was a great success.

The mayor Cllr Steve Haynes and MP for North Cornwall Ben Maguire both attended and showed great interest in the stallholders asking pertinent questions.

Steph Jones-Giles, community ambassador, said: "I am delighted both the mayor and our newly elected MP were able to attend the event and also that dogs were allowed on the Triangle for the first time.

“I am pleased to report all attending, whether two legs or four, were impeccably behaved! Bude group have raised £2,335.40 so far this year and need another £2,800 to hit our £60,000 target since the group began.

“As ever thank you to the wonderful Bude community for your incredible support.”
