BUDEHAVEN Community School students are celebrating the results of two years of hard work as they receive their A Level and BTEC results.
Headteacher, Dominic Wilkes said: “Today is incredibly special; we are so excited for our students as they open their results envelopes and take the first steps into their exciting futures. We are so proud of them all”
Students have done exceptionally well, with many heading off to their first choice universities, many of them having secured a place at a top Russell Group university. Others have secured exciting employment opportunities.
Head of Sixth Form, Rachel Leverton, praised the students for their hard work effort, remarking: “This is a really fantastic day, and I am so proud of every single young person who worked so hard to achieve all they have. We would love to hear about all they do in their futures”.
“Many of our students have excelled and the universities that they have secured places at demonstrates how hard they have worked over the last two years. We are so pleased to hear about the destinations of our young people.
“Amelie Burford secured three A* grades and is going to Imperial College to study Medicine, Molly Sellars also secured three A* grades and is going to Manchester University to study Medicine.
“Zak Hope achieved ABB, and will go to Exeter to study for an LLB in Law with a professional placement. Katy Bright achieved two A* grades and a B grade and is off to Bristol to study English Literature.
“Nina Hall secured three A grades, and will study Politics and Modern History at Manchester. Isobel Jones achieved three A grades and is going to The University of York to study History.
“Lola Barnett achieved two A* grades and a Distinction* and will take a gap year. Lee Giles achieved two Distinctions and a Merit in BTEC sport and will go to Plymouth Marjon University to study Football Coaching and Development.
“Whatever our young people choose to do as their next steps, we wish them all the very best.
“We congratulate all our students on their successes, and wish them well in their very exciting futures!”
