These are then distributed to those that would not normally have access to such activities. Efford Down Campsite has also donated £250 to help kick start their Christmas Appeal.

A spokesperson from Freewave Surf Academy said: “Yesterday we made a donation to the Bude Food Bank as part of the Christmas Appeal. The Bude Food Bank provide an amazing service supporting families and individuals in financial difficulty. The support that they deliver comes in the form of food parcels, financial guidance and spiritual support. Financial difficulties increase around the festive period and therefore there is an even greater need to support this wonderful charity.

“Along with cash support, the Bude Food Bank is requesting items such as mince pies, Christmas puddings, gravy, tinned items and much more.”

A spokesperson from Bude Food Bank said: “If you can spare any of these items, please drop them off at our at the Venue Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9am to 1pm.

“Alternatively, there are various drop off stations in the major Supermarkets or at the Parkhouse Centre in town.”
