A warning has been issued by Bude-Stratton Town Council to people removing the safety fencing around a broken climbing frame at one of its park.

It stated that repairs to the facility will be done as soon as possible, but asked people not to tamper with it in the meantime.

A spokesperson for Bude-Stratton Town Council said: “We're extremely disappointed to find that the safety fencing around the climbing frame at Bencoolen Playpark has been deliberately moved.

“This equipment is unsafe and fenced off for a reason, to prevent injury. Tampering with safety measures is not only irresponsible, it puts children at serious risk.

“We’re working to repair the equipment as quickly as possible. In the meantime, please respect the fencing and keep well away from the closed area.”
