TWO pupils from Bridgerule C of E (VC) Primary School have received thank you letters for the birthday cards they sent to the Queen.

William and Phoebe Lucas wanted to acknowledge Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s special 90th birthday this year by sending her a card.

They have since received a letter of thanks, from Buckingham Palace, on behalf of Her Majesty, which they proudly showed to the congregation at St Bridget’s Church, on Sunday.

William and Phoebe had participated in the regular family service, led by Val Harris, by reading a poem, composed by William and dedicated to the Queen, and by reading the children’s prayers.
