PROPOSALS for the ’Big Field Wind Farm’ near Week St Mary have been rejected by Communities Secretary Sajid Javid, it has been announced today (Thursday).

The proposals by Good Energy Generation Ltd were to erect 11 wind turbines at Creddacott Farm, with plans originally submitted in 2014. Cornwall Council refused planning permission.

The application was then taken to appeal, and after an investigation by the Planning Inspectorate, which has lasted over a year, the appeal was called-in to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government to make the final decision.
