THE Met Office has issued an amber weather warning for areas of Cornwall this weekend as Storm Isha is forecast to bring very strong winds.
The weather warning is in place from Sunday, January 21 at 6pm until Monday, January 21 at 9am.
The storm is forecast to affect areas including Holsworthy, Bude, Camelford, Wadebridge, Newquay, Truro, Camborne, Hayle and Penzance – and is likely to bring disruption to travel and utilities.
It is likely that some roads and bridges will be closed and travellers will endure longer journey times and cancellations.
Power cuts may also take place over the region.
The Met Office has also said that 'injuries and danger to life is likely from large waves and beach material being thrown onto coastal roads, sea fronts and properties'.
