POLICE have confirmed that a woman has died following a collision involving two cars this morning (November 7) at Plusha junction on the A30.
Emergency services were called at 8.25am today, to the A30 at Plusha junction, following a report of a two-car collision on the westbound carriageway.
A woman sustained life-threatening injuries and despite medical treatment, was confirmed deceased at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.
A spokesperson from Devon and Cornwall Police said: “There are no other reports of injuries at this time and emergency services remain at the scene to carry out an enquiries.
“The road is currently closed and Highways England are on the scene putting closures and diversions in place.
“We are aware of local traffic congestion and drivers are asked not to follow satnavs but to follow the diversion signs.”
