DEVON and Cornwall Police have issued a statement following a serious road traffic accident involving two people in a car on the A30 west of Launceston at around 11.30pm last night (Friday).
The statement reads: “At 2329hrs on Friday the 11th of February 2022 Police were notified of a single vehicle collision which occurred on the A30 Eastbound in the area of Plusha junction
“The male driver of the subject vehicle sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision. The female passenger in the vehicle sustained non-life threatening injuries.
“Police would be particularly interested in anyone who may have Dashcam footage of the collision and any driver that had been travelling in the opposite direction.
“Officers from Local Response, Specialist Roads Policing Team, South West Ambulance and Cornwall Fire and Rescue attended the scene.
“Police would like to thank the members of public for their patience whilst an investigation of the scene was completed.”
Any witnesses to the collision who haven’t already spoken to Police at the scene are asked to contact the police on Tel: 101 quoting log number 911 – 11th of February 2022.
As we have reported recently in the Post, there have been repeated calls by local people and parish councillors to improve the junction at Plusha Bridge to improve safety.
